Here presenting the fourth army book in my series, this time Nippon. Coming in at a whopping 114 pages, this is my longest book yet. Note that this is only version 1.0, so it will get a major overhaul for the rules (especially with 8th ed coming). Most of the fluff is from Legend of the Five Rings, so no need to point that out :p Anyway, enjoy, and please leave feedback on OP rules and various bugs.

You can also find my earlier projects of Araby, Kislev and Cathay on Scribd. Next up will be Albion, expect a release before September.

That's a fantastic book mate, really good :)
I'd have no problem playing as Nippon.

Looks very good, only skimmed it but seems to be well worked out.
There is a fair few spelling mistakes and such, but i guess that will be worked out in the next version. Also, I noticed that a High Shugenja is lvl 4, but it also costs 35 points to upgrade to lvl 4. :)
But all in all good job.

That is amazing, I reckon you should submit that to GW and see what they say...

The timeline is 19 pages! Trim it down a lot.

I notice that the background is similar (dare I say identical?) to the background from Legend of the Five Rings/Clan War. And this saddens me. I had hoped for a more Warhammer world version of Nippon, or Naippon, and not just a rehash of another game's backstory.

Have you made nice with the owners of that intellectual property? 'Cause Games Workshop is not the only company out there who can toss around Cease & Desist notices.

I like your previous books, but this is such a blatant steal from the L5R universe that I can't really approve of it :(

You can't really call it fan-made if made by another company...

If that's your only complaint, I take it as a compliment ;)

- As I said in the first post, yes the fluff is from L5R, I am not trying to hide that. It just seemed like a waste of time trying to come up with something based on the same thing that wouldn't turn out nearly as good. I simply moved Rokugan to the Warhammer world, and changed a few things to fit it in there better.

- I have not. But they are very welcome to sue me for something I don't make money on, nor do I make their own books redundant as you still cannot play L5R using this book. Also, as a poor student, they won't get anything from me anyway ;)

- What is fan-made is the actual army list and rules to play with. The background is just extra sprinkles on top for those who want to know more.
